Alameda Warming Shelter

Alameda Warming Shelter

The city of Alameda, Building Futures with Women and Children, and Christ Episcopal Church have developed the Alameda Warming Shelter.  The purpose of this is to provide a place welcoming and nurturing place for people struggling with housing issues to rest on cold and rainy days this winter. The Warming Shelter will open its doors at Christ Episcopal Church, located at 1700 Santa Clara Avenue, from December 6, 2018 – April 14, 2019 when temperatures are predicted to dip below 40 degrees or when there is a 50% chance of rain.

Additionally, there are volunteer and donation opportunities involved.  Please follow the lint for the flyer or letter to find out more about how you can contribute.
