    Parent SurveyS

    Dear Edison families,

Our school needs your feedback with three important surveys relating to several topics:

    • The California State Parent Survey (CSPS) is an important way for parents to give input regarding the school, and is directly tied to our school's Single Plan for Student Achievement.  Please take 5 minutes to complete our anonymous survey HERE This survey will remain active until Friday, April 19, 2019.
    • Each year the Alameda County Safe Routes to Schools program conducts student and parent survey.  The student and parent/caregiver surveys are ways for them to collect information about how students travel to school and it help them offer more effective biking, walking, carpooling, and transit programming in coming years.  Between now and April 26, parent surveys can be accessed HERE, or through a paper survey available in the school office.  Parents who submit surveys will be entered to win one of two $250 grocery store gift cards!
    • AUSD conducts an annual survey to gather input from families and the community regarding communication.  Your participation in this survey helps inform the school district as how to improve our practices regarding home-school communication.  Please follow the link HERE to take this brief survey.  Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

    Attendance Is Important

    Please remember...Attendance is important!

If your child is absent, please call the Edison Attendance Line at 510-748-4002, ext. 2 to report this to the school.  Please follow the  instructions to leave a message, including: Your name, relationship to the student, the student's name, room number, teacher, the date of absence or tardy, and the reason for the absence.  Messages will be collected daily.

Students who arrive on time and are ready to go in the morning get the most out of their school experience. Students who arrive late must go to the office to obtain a late pass before they are allowed in the classroom.  This applies to all students.

Please ensure your child is ready to go for school by preparing their lunch the night before if they are bringing, deciding on what to wear the night before, and that backpacks, schoolwork, and everything needed for the day is ready to go and by your front door.  By preparing for the next day, it can make your morning run that much smoother, and help your child arrive to school on time.
