Edison Morning Show for Wednesday, May 27, 2020
Posted 5/27/20

Hello Edison Families,

Here is the link to the Edison Morning Show for Wednesday, May 27, 2020:

As mentioned in the Morning Show, the Virtual Food Drive for the Alameda County Community Food Bank runs through this Thursday.  Our 5th graders volunteer at this food bank each year and see up close the important impact that food banks have.  While we can't volunteer at the food bank in person right now, we have an opportunity to help them raise money to keep feeding everyone in our community.  Join us in virtually "shopping" for food on our Edison Otter page: You can also let other people know about the food drive with the attached flyer and sample letter from Louisa in 4th grade.

Remember that it is the Edison End of Year Extravaganza this week! Here's a few things about it mentioned in today's show:

1) Each day this week, we highlight a couple of grade levels or classes. Today, the focus is on our 1st and 2nd grade friends!  Thank you to the teachers and parents that helped put these together, as they are such a great way to highlight our students!  Check out these links!:

2) Today's theme day is Backwards/Inside Out Day!

Turn your clothes around or inside out, for a bit of wacky style,

Just make sure on your Zoom call that we can see your smile!

And remember that tomorrow is  Crazy Hat/Hair Day!

3)  Also remember to Show your Spirit at Home! Dress up a window, front porch or yard of your home with Edison Spirit! Use drawings, paintings or pictures of otters or other topics, make signs that show and tell how “Edison School is Everywhere!”  Here's a great example from Bianca in Ms. Soria-Kevy's class...thanks Bianca!:

Thanks, and have an otter this world last week of school!
